About Fly Fishers International Northeast Council
As part of Fly Fishers International, we support a global fly fishing community by creating regional opportunities for education, conservation, connection, and shared experiences on the water. Our all-volunteer board meets monthly and organizes events centered on the three pillars at the heart of our work: community, education and conservation.
Whether you are new to fly fishing, a longtime angler, interested in conservation, or looking to participate in regional events, the Northeast Council welcomes you to connect with us.
Our Three Focus Areas
Conservation
Healthy fisheries begin with healthy waters. The Northeast Council supports responsible angling, conservation awareness, and regional efforts that help protect rivers, streams, lakes, saltwater habitats, and the fish that depend on them.
Education
From casting and fly tying to fish handling, outdoor ethics, and youth programs, education is central to the future of fly fishing. We help connect members and clubs with learning opportunities and FFI resources.
Community
Fly fishing is stronger when people are connected. The Northeast Council supports clubs, volunteers, instructors, events, and regional gatherings that bring anglers together across the across New England and Eastern Canada.
